Trenython Manor Resort

We spent Easter here with our three children and had a lovely family holiday. The two interconnecting rooms gave us two bathrooms between us, and the beds were comfortable. It was nice and quiet, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The grounds and views were lovely. We were mostly out sightseeing and used the hotel mainly for sleeping and breakfast, but the smart TVs in both rooms connected quickly to streaming services, which really helped keep the kids entertained in the evenings. We’d definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic family break in one of the lodges. It was comfortable and well equipped, with lovely views across the grounds, and being dog friendly was a big plus. Our dog absolutely loved it. After days out exploring, the pool, sauna and steam room were great for unwinding. The restaurant served really good food and the staff were amazing. There are interesting artifacts around the place, reflecting its fascinating history and adding character. The peaceful setting and good facilities made the stay really enjoyable. We’d happily recommend it and return.

We came for a wedding and stayed two nights. The hotel, built in 1872, has an interesting spot overlooking St Austell Bay, and although there aren’t many staff, everyone we met impressed us. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, apart from the shower over the bath. There was plenty of hot water, and the food was plentiful and well cooked.

It’s a beautiful manor hotel in a peaceful, green area, and you can see Fowey from the bar terrace. There’s no lift, just a lovely big wooden staircase up to the first floor, though there are rooms on the ground floor too. You can relax in the swimming pool, steam room, sauna or jacuzzi, and there’s the option of a relaxing massage as well.
