Novotel Ipswich

Tony made us feel especially welcome at breakfast and shared local history, along with tips on events and things worth seeing and doing around town. The staff were kind and professional throughout our birthday overnight stay. Breakfast had a great, plentiful choice of hot and cold items, and the omelette, pancakes and waffle we ordered were all delicious. The hotel is very well decorated, and our spacious, well furnished room was comfortable for sleeping. We had a fabulous short break and highly recommend the property and its wonderful staff.

The room had a good range of useful things, including an iron, kettle, ironing board, safe, mini fridge, hangers, wardrobe and tea and coffee. The bed was comfortable, we slept very well, and it was quiet with no noise from the rooms next door. The location is ideal and the room was a nice size. Our only issue was a cold draft while sitting on the sofa directly in front of the window.

The rooms are usually comfortable, the showers are perfectly okay, and the place just works, which is exactly what I want when I travel a lot. The team is what makes it, though. They're warm and professional, with enough humour to make each stay easy. I keep coming back to Novotel Ipswich so often that walking in feels like returning home, only to somewhere a bit more organised and a lot more beige. Jordan and Steven at the front desk are friendly and efficient, with that knowing smile that says they figured I'd be back again this week. In the restaurant and bar, Tony, Denise and Michael make breakfast, dinner or a quick drink feel personal and relaxed. You're not just another room number. Highly recommended. If you see me at the bar, please pretend you didn't. I'm trying to keep up the idea that I only stay here occasionally.

The evening food was outstanding and really well priced, and the breakfast buffet was consistently excellent, with lots of variety and fresh choices each morning. I spent seven days at Novotel Ipswich, and it was one of my best hotel stays in a long time. The staff made me feel welcome from the start, remembered my preferences and were always ready with a smile. My room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable after long days. A special thank you to manager Susan, who has contributed in many ways to the community project I've been working on. After a full week there, I'd happily stay again without hesitation.
