The Old Rectory, Kettlebaston

Maggie was a pleasant, accommodating host and made us feel at home. We stayed one night in the very private, self-contained garden studio at this extremely quiet and peaceful property. It had a fridge, hob and oven, but we chose to have breakfast in the house, and it was delicious.

The Old Rectory is set in beautiful countryside, and the hosts made us feel incredibly welcome. It's perfectly placed for country walks, lovely villages and nice rural pubs. We had a really lovely time, an ideal country getaway.

We were looking for a weekend escape from city life, and this separate lodge was just right for relaxing. The peaceful setting, scenery and location were amazing, and the homemade jam was really tasty. The owners were pleasant and made us feel very welcome. We were very satisfied and would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

We only found this place by chance when we needed somewhere to stay after a friend's wedding at Preston Priory, and we're so glad we did. It's peaceful, tranquil and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The owners went out of their way to make us comfortable, including serving breakfasts made with local produce, which we both really appreciate. My partner lost his mobile phone during our stay. The owners found it and kindly called us so we could collect it, something we haven't forgotten. We also really enjoyed the honey we bought from them. I've recommended the place to several people since and hope we'll return soon.
