The Orchard Bramble Lodge

It felt rural and secluded, yet a historic town was just a three-minute drive or a 15-minute walk away, which was the perfect combination. My wife, our 4-year-old and I recently came back from two nights at the Orchard, and it was a really great experience. The beautiful lodge had every amenity we could imagine, with two great bedrooms, lovely big ensuites and comfy beds. The living space was comfortable, and the kitchen had every gadget you could think of. Every window looked out onto a great view. Outside was even better: a huge private terrace with a sunken hot tub, loungers and a place to eat, plus more seating and a cooking area below. The lovely kids' playground let us sit and watch our daughter play. Richard had also provided age-appropriate toys for your daughter and bed guards, so we didn't have to bring any. Those touches made the stay even better.

Richard and Shona, thank you for the thoughtful basket of homemade goodies and a bottle of bubbles. We had a relaxing, rejuvenating weekend at Bramble Lodge with three friends, celebrating a couple of 60th birthdays. Highly recommend.

The kids loved the hot tub, and our dog enjoyed the freedom and playing with the two lovely black labs who live there. Richard and Shona were quick to get back to us whenever we had a question. We spent a wonderful week in Jasmine Lodge just before Easter. The high-spec lodges were utterly clean and had lovely touches, including sloe gin and chocolates on arrival, plus robes and slippers for each guest. It's so peaceful and relaxing, with lovely walks and beautiful countryside right on the doorstep. You can easily walk to the sweet town, which has plenty of pubs and restaurants. I've recommended the place to lots of friends, and we're already planning to return. You've booked a winner if you stay here!

There was a lovely playground and a huge field right on our doorstep, which the two dogs in our party loved. The log burners in the two larger lodges were a bonus, too. Eleven of us stayed across all three cabins to celebrate two family members' joint 60th and 75th birthdays, and we had an amazing time. The lodges were immaculate, and the hot tubs were a lovely touch. You feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, but Hadleigh itself is just a few minutes away. The hosts were fabulous and thoughtful, even leaving a tiny dressing gown and age-appropriate toys for the 3-year-old, who played with them non-stop. Hope to come back very soon.
