Irvine Guest House

The mattress was a little harder than I like, though some people may prefer it. The toilet was a bit small, but manageable. If you’re larger, I’d ask about the bathroom size. The entrance made a pleasant first impression, and the room was a good size. Overall, a good stay, and I’d book again.

We were able to check in early, and many thanks to Nick for helping us extend our stay a few months before we arrived. That proved no problem. We spent two nights at Irvine Guest House and found the room was better than expected. It was pleasantly clean throughout and well located for the local shopping centre and amenities. The beds were very comfy, and the room had enough space, a good-sized built-in wardrobe, wall-mounted TV and tea and coffee facilities. The shower was lovely and warm. We’ll happily return.

Just what we wanted for a one-night stay: a quiet area, secure entrance and comfy bed. The toilet and shower were very small, and I mean really small, but that’s a slight annoyance. They could maybe spend a bit more on the shower gel too, though it’s nothing major. I’d recommend it for a night.

The bed was really comfortable, and we had a lovely stay in a nice room. Being right in the centre of Irvine was handy too. Check-in was quick and easy: I just entered the code for the door and found the key waiting in the hallway, so I didn't have to speak to anyone. That suited me, as I can be a bit anxious. We'll be back.
