Oakbank Farm

We spent a week at Oakbank Farm in July and had a brilliant stay. The accommodation felt homely and spacious, with everything we needed. The owners were lovely and hospitable, and even went out of their way to help us wash and store our equipment. I’d recommend it without hesitation.

Teresa kept us informed about all the government changes and helped us get ferry tickets, which was a real help. There were four of us in the apartment and plenty of room to relax, both indoors and outside. It was clear a lot of care had gone into cleaning and sterilising it. The walk along the waterfront to the restaurants and pubs is really nice.

We’ve now stayed at Oakbank twice, first in the flat and this time in Squirrel view, and were happy with both. Squirrel view was exceptionally clean, comfortable and thoughtfully set up, with everything we needed and more than we expected. Getting to the rest of Arran by car was fairly easy, and Whiting bay and Brodick are just a quick drive away. We often walked the shoreline into Lamlash for its cafe, shops and bar, though the seals kept distracting us along the way. There’s a footpath to Brodick too, but we didn’t try it. Arran’s a beautiful island, and I’m sure we’ll be back to both the island and Oakbank.

Teresa was so welcoming, and we loved the visiting 🐈. The hayloft apartment was modern, clean and comfortable, a truly relaxing place that we didn’t want to leave. It was our first time in Arran, and we hope to come back soon. Karen & Jack from Kilbarchan.
