Mairi made us feel completely looked after, with a warm welcome and great knowledge of what to see and do around the island. Clach Gorm is a beautiful home, stylish, clean and comfortable, and our room had an amazing view. The warm room was handy for drying hiking boots or swim gear. Breakfast was delicious, made with good ingredients, and Mairi varied the options to keep things interesting. We especially loved the smoked salmon bagels. A brilliant place that we’d happily return to.

We were only here for one night on our Scotland road trip, and I’m so glad we came. The guesthouse is stunning, modern and beautifully placed, with amazing views. It’s also convenient for Stornaway, about a 10-15 minute drive. Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable, with a lovely en-suite and plenty of closet space. It felt like staying at a friend’s house. Breakfast was exceptional, one of the best we’ve had, and cooked perfectly. Thanks to Miari and Calum for the sightseeing suggestions around Lewis and for making the visit so relaxing. We’ll be back next time we’re on Lewis.

We arrived as strangers and left as friends. The hosts were fantastic, and the sea view rooms were lovely. Best cooked breakfasts I’ve ever had.
