Glenhouse

Breakfast was served at 8:30. The cooked meal was a bit greasy for my taste, though toast and yoghurt were also available, and the wifi worked okay. Glenhouse is a maze of corridors and doors, with low ceilings all over, so watch your head on the stairs. Our room was under the eaves. There was enough space for our suitcases and to move around, but the ceiling was low above the bed. The headboard was loose and rattled. Closing the curtains was awkward because the TV and a separate aerial sat on the unit in front of the window. The bathroom was up a step and also under the eaves, with low headroom over the toilet and in the shower cubicle. I had to crouch to get my head under the shower to wash my hair. The shower head had water-saving beads inside and was too heavy for its clamp, so it kept tilting down. Showering was very frustrating. The extractor fan did clear the air well.

The hosts were really kind, and our room was lovely. We had a great time, with everything just right and an excellent breakfast.

The people are lovely, and the views are stunning. What a place.

The guesthouse had a magnificent view, and our room was pleasant and comfortable. Our hosts were wonderful. They guided us, offered advice, and reassured us. Thanks to them, we had an incredible stay.
