Helen made us a delicious fish dinner on our second evening, followed by Cranachan, a traditional Scottish dessert. Her husband even lit a fire in the fireplace. We enjoyed our stay at Lathamor very much, with clean rooms and a cosy, pleasant lounge. Helen is extremely friendly and kind. One of our best stays in Scotland so far.

Helen was a friendly, informative hostess, and the traditional breakfast she made was lovely. The house is spotless, the facilities are excellent and there’s plenty of parking. It sits at the top of a quiet road, so it’s very peaceful, while still being well placed for exploring Stornoway and Lewis and close to both the ferry port and airport. We spent three nights here, from 3-5 July 2023, and thoroughly enjoyed this short break, the last stop on our Hebridean holiday.

Helen was very accommodating when we missed ferries, and she managed to sort things out so we could stay another night. She even made breakfast for our early start, with a great choice of cooked options and cereals. It’s a great B&B with fantastic rooms, about ten minutes outside Stornoway. We’d easily stay again when we get the chance.
