The Beach Bothies

The setting was the most scenic place we’ve ever stayed, and the Bothies are gorgeous. They had everything we needed, so the kitchen supplies I’d packed stayed in the car. Dave and Julie made us feel so welcome, and our two sausage dogs adored their dog Molly. We arrived to hand-dived scallops, black pudding, a warm home-baked loaf and free-range Croft eggs. The beach was unbelievably beautiful, a perfect trip.

The pods left me speechless, from the changing sea colours and the view to the sound of the waves just outside, which was so soothing. Everything inside was thought through, with all we needed and plenty of lovely details. The owners were really friendly and made us feel at home and well looked after. Thank you for having us, we’ll be back!

The beach was ideal for our dog, with loads of space to run and play, and he even made friends with the owners’ lovely dog Molly. There was a gate we could put across the balcony opening, which let us relax without worrying he’d escape. Inside, the Bothy was comfortable and had everything we needed, plus lots of thoughtful extras. It’s just steps from a secluded beach with a beautiful, peaceful view. We were welcomed with fresh hand-dived scallops and Stornoway black pudding, and had a fabulous stay at Beach Bothies. We couldn’t have enjoyed it more and will definitely be back.

We arrived around dusk to a warm, cosy room and a lovely fire. The welcome scallops and warm home-baked bread were such a nice touch, and tea, coffee and milk were there too. The kitchen was well stocked, and the ensuite had plenty of hot water. From the Bothy, we could see the white sand and deserted beach, and fall asleep to the sea. It felt quiet and romantic, with lots of extra touches that made the stay memorable. We wanted more time there and will certainly return, hopefully one day to see the elusive Northern Lights.
