Breakfast the next morning was magnificent, with all the meat locally sourced and the quality easy to taste. We’d definitely stay again. We only spent one night at the Cross Inn on Lewis during our Hebridean adventure, but the room was a good size, spotless, and had a lovely bathroom. Every member of staff was lovely and made us feel welcome. The restaurant is being updated, so only basic food was available in the bar. We both ordered cheeseburgers. They were freshly cooked and clearly good quality, though sadly too salty.

The real reason to stay is the public bar, with its great atmosphere and delightful Joanne. We were here for one night, and both the lodging and food were perfect. Highly recommend.

We stayed four nights and had a fantastic time. Friday’s live music from Willie Campbell was absolutely brilliant. The barmaid was so lovely and happy to help with anything. I’m really sorry I forgot your name 🙈. The woman who owned the place was lovely too, and very knowledgeable. We’ll definitely come back if we return to Lewis.

We drove over hoping to get lunch, but despite the lit 'Open' sign in the window, the restaurant was closed. The bar was open, but they weren't serving food.

The ladies serving us were so warm and welcoming. We had smoked salmon and scallop starters, then a burger and a Yorkshire pudding sandwich, all cooked just right. The gravy was delicious, and we enjoyed the Mars bar and cheesecake puddings too. Dinner was superb, the best meal we’ve had since arriving on the Island a week ago. I recommend the Tiree pink gin. Thank you!
