When a winter storm kept us indoors, 1 Keepers Cottage, Skeabost became a warm, peaceful place to wait it out. We cooked local seafood and meat, then spent time around the kitchen table playing board games. Our group of three stayed in November 2025, and it made a cozy base for exploring Skye. The cottage is a charming white, family-friendly three-bedroom let on the A850, about an 11-minute drive from Portree. Downstairs there’s a comfortable lounge with a wall-mounted smart TV and Netflix, fast free Wi-Fi, and a refurbished kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. The private garden has furniture, and there’s off-road parking. Upstairs are a king-sized main bedroom, a twin room, and a small shower room between them. It has modern conveniences, including thermostat-controlled central heating. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back.
