Canowindra

The breakfast had plenty to choose from, and Georgie's Eggy bread with maple syrup and bacon is especially worth trying. My room was lovely, with a huge ensuite bathroom featuring both a bath and a separate shower. It had the usual tea and coffee, plus a thoughtful GF biscuit from Georgie. Rick made me feel welcome even though I arrived early after getting lucky on standby for the ferry to Skye. You need to drive into town for dinner, though Gasta restaurant is only a few minutes away and good value. A lovely spot for a night or two.

We loved the spacious, comfortable room and all the breakfast choices. It was the best B&B of our trip, and we only wished we could've stayed an extra night. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Canowindra for two nights with friends, and it was such a charming, enjoyable visit. Our rooms, “Magpies” and “Fishes,” were spotless and comfortable, and the breakfast was a great start each morning. The hosts were wonderfully attentive. A big storm had knocked out power across much of the island when we arrived, but Georgie & Co had candles ready and got us settled without trouble. The electricity came back shortly after, but that quick response made us feel looked after. Bindi, the 17-year-old cat, was a highlight. She wandered around at breakfast, greeted us with a loud meow each morning, and let us pet her. It’s a quiet spot with a lovely path and stunning views, just a short drive from Portree. We’d highly recommend Canowindra for a Skye visit.

The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with a little touch of luxury. It was a fabulous B&B run by a lovely family, and breakfast was delicious. I especially recommend the eggy bread with maple syrup. We’re sure to come back.
