Marlena was so helpful and treated us wonderfully, so my wife and I added another night to our stay at 13 Matheson Place, Portree. She suggested things to see nearby and places to get excellent meals. The apartment was fantastic: comfortable, convenient, and stocked with everything we needed, plus extra bits. We appreciated the private parking and very good Wi-Fi. In our view, it’s the best apartment in the area, and Marlena is a terrific host. We’d return in a heartbeat and recommend it highly.

We ended up walking to restaurants every night since they were close by. The accommodation was spotless and really comfortable. Marlena, the owner and host, made us feel so welcome, with drinks and snacks waiting for us, plus tips on places to see around the island. She was amazing. You can’t go wrong staying here.

We spent two nights here at the end of September 2025 during our Isle of Skye trip, and it was our favourite stop on a Highlands road trip with several places to stay. Loved the coffee, too. I’d definitely recommend it.

The bed was comfortable, and both the kitchen and bathroom had plenty of supplies. The apartment was clean, cozy, and nicely located. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

We didn’t have a car, and this worked really well for us. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the city centre and supermarket. My wife and I stayed for two nights, and we loved it. The place was spotless and had everything for a comfortable stay. Marlena kept in touch and helped us with everything. She’s such a kind and helpful host. When we visit this precious island again, we’ll definitely stay here.
