The host seemed uninterested in putting right the problems we raised. The floor and kitchen were dirty, the oven was broken, the bath wasn't fixed to the floor, and the toilet seat was broken. When we complained, they said they already knew. They hadn't told us beforehand, come to inspect the property, or offered to fix anything. It could be a gem if someone looked after it, but it isn't. The property was poorly maintained and cleaned.
We had the whole house to ourselves, and the location was terrific. Fantastic stay!
We'd definitely stay here again. The location was fantastic, close to a grocery store and most local sights. It felt like being out in the country while still being right next to downtown Portree.
The house was nice enough, but it wasn't well maintained. There were lots of small faults.
Our booking for eight people and three nights, made through Booking.com in November 2022 for the first week of July 2023, was accepted. Then, one month before we were due to arrive, the owner cancelled without explaining why. I asked, but she didn't reply. Finding a place for eight people at the beginning of July proved impossible, so I had to cancel my trip to the Isle of Skye.
