Glendale View

Jane’s cooking was outstanding, and breakfast each morning set us up perfectly for a day exploring Skye. From the moment we arrived at the Glendale View suite, we felt at home. Jane is warm and thoughtful, with a kindness that made the stay unforgettable. She’s the closest thing to having Molly Weasley herself greet you at the door. The suite was the most carefully put-together space we’ve stayed in, clearly designed with travellers in mind. Every detail felt considered, making it both practical and comfortable. It was a haven to come back to after a day out. If you’re lucky enough to book here, you’ll find a rare mix of comfort, care, and genuine hospitality that makes leaving hard.

We spent a week at Glendaleview in the Garden Room, and it was absolutely perfect. It was spacious, comfortable, and incredibly clean, with plenty of room for our things while still leaving the main living area usable. There were generous tea, coffee, and refreshment supplies in the room, and Jane’s breakfast was fantastic. The coffee was decent, and the home-cooked menu had plenty of variety, from a fresh breakfast to start the day to a proper indulgent treat. The B&B is a gem, and Jane is what makes it shine. She’s warm, generous, knowledgeable, and kind. We both genuinely looked forward to our daily catch-up with her at breakfast. We can’t wait to come back!

Jane's tips led us to some wonderful spots that were quieter than Skye's famous sights, and her warmth made the whole stay feel like being at home. We first booked two nights at Glandale View just two days before arriving, after finding it still available despite its great reviews. The owners later told us bookings had only just opened because the renovation had finished. The place was peaceful and well cared for, with a clean, new room, a really comfortable bed, and delicious breakfasts made fresh. Jane sent us a helpful packet of information once we'd booked, with lots of useful tips for making the most of the stay. We spent two nights here before heading to the other side of the island, and the breakfasts were a real highlight, keeping us going on full days of hiking. Jane was so sweet and helpful, and, as other reviews say, a fabulous cook. It's a great base for visiting Neist Point Lighthouse. We'd definitely come back.
