We were lucky enough to spot seals, sea ducks, and herons during our visit. The cabin was cosy and comfortable, and even kept out the noise from some very blustery winds. John was a great host: he welcomed us straight away with a quick tour of the cabin and surrounding area, plus some advice on getting around the isle. We had a great couple of nights here on my first trip to Skye.

We reached all the hikes we'd planned, including storr, needle, and quiraing, with about 50 minutes of driving. The loch and mountain views were magnificent. Check-in was easy, and our cabin was comfortable and well located. We stayed three nights and I'd highly recommend it.

We had a lovely, helpful couple hosting us. From bed in the warm log cabin, we could look out over the loch and enjoy a great view. Everything was very clean and tidy. It really is a perfect homestay for relaxing and enjoying nature.

If you like being on the beach and don't need anything fussy, this is perfection. The cabin was warm and comfy, and the setting felt serene and grounding. Our host John was very pleasant.
