The laundry was the main letdown. The dryer was basically useless, and we had to leave our clothes hanging for 12+ hours before they were even packable. The laundry is in a separate building, and the WiFi was very poor too. Still, the spacious, cosy building, well-stocked kitchen and wood-burning stove made for a comfortable stay. The location is great for hiking nearby, and the view is amazing, which helped make up for those problems.

Breakfast at the main lodge was lovely, and both places we stayed were very nice. On our first night there was a scheduling mix-up with the cleaner, so our accommodation wasn’t ready when we arrived. Ela quickly sorted it out, arranged for us to stay that night at their Monkstadt 1745 near Uig, and provided breakfast at no charge. We loved our time at Skye Eyrie and Monkstadt 1745 and will definitely book with them again.

We visited in November, so it was cold and windy, but the fireplace made it all worthwhile. We spent the time playing cards and board games. The place is beautiful, quiet, well furnished and just fun to be in, with lovely decor and surroundings. I’d love to come back again and again.

The sunsets, the landscape, the quiet feeling of being on your own, and the lovely days with friends made this a fantastic four-day stay. We enjoyed walking and biking around in nature. The view was the best I’ve ever seen. Incredible place.

It felt like being on top of the world. This was the best place I stayed during my trip to Scotland, and I’d definitely come back.
