We loved staying with Alison and Neil again, a couple of years after our last visit. I own Black Isle Fitted Bedrooms and had the privilege of fitting a second bedroom for them at their lovely guest house, Strathgorm, Breakish, on the Isle of Skye. They kindly put us up while we worked, but it felt more like a mini break than a job because they’re so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spotless and the views are breathtaking 😍. Alison and Neil treated us to amazing food: a full Sunday roast, breakfast each morning, soups and sandwiches for lunch, and tea and coffee throughout the day. In the evenings we enjoyed sitting and chatting with them over a good blether and a cheeky wee beer 🍺. Thanks again for such amazing hospitality.

Breakfast was the surprise highlight of our stay. We had to leave early for a ferry and didn’t want to disturb the other guests or the owners, but Allison still got up and made us a piping hot, delicious meal. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and we slept really well. Allison and Neil made us feel welcome from the start. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay on Skye, Stathgorm is easy to recommend. Alison and Neil were both friendly and polite, and had put together a useful list of recommendations for our room. We could pick from a few breakfast options each day, and Alison made such generous portions that we left full every morning. Free toiletries were provided, and paying by card was possible. The only problem for us was that the Wi-Fi didn’t work. We had a really great stay and I’d recommend this place.

We spent nearly a week here and had such a good time. The area is beautiful, peaceful, and friendly, and staying with Alison and Neil felt like being at home. They’re warm, caring hosts, and the B&B itself was lovely too. We’d happily recommend Strathgorm and hope to visit again. Thanks for making our stay so nice, Alison and Neil.

April 2023. The room had a lovely sea view and was tidy and spacious. Alison and Neil were great hosts, happy to help with restaurant suggestions and anything else we needed. Alison’s breakfast was a lovely way to start the day, with cooked and continental choices. We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend it.
