The Steading

Chatting with the hosts was part of what made our stay so memorable. They were extremely kind, and the setting is just magical, with green hills full of grazing sheep around the end of a fiord. One of the highlights of our Scotland tour.

The house is a bit isolated, though getting around by car is easy. We rented the whole place, a real palace, with six rooms across the two upper floors and five bathrooms, two shared between pairs of rooms. The huge kitchen, dining and living rooms, and lovely garden give you plenty of space. There's also a veranda with a piano and ping pong table, reading spots, and benches under the windows.

From the house there's a direct view of the bay and surrounding mountains, with sheep grazing nearby. It's a picturesque spot, and the house has everything you need.

Fergus and Katrina made us feel at home right away, and the whole property was spotless and decorated with great taste. We had a lovely room with a breathtaking view of the loch. Breakfast deserves a mention too, especially the sublime scrambled eggs, the best I had on my holiday in Scotland. This stay will stay with me for a long time. If I get the chance to return to Skye, I know where I'll stay. Luca
