Uig Lodge

My mother always said the Isle of Skye was her favourite place in the world, so visiting the nearby Idrigal Viewpoint to scatter her ashes meant a lot to me. Uig Lodge made those days easier and more pleasant than they might have been. The staff were extremely friendly, the restaurant was great, and the accommodation was beautiful. Ask for a room high up at the back on the hillside if you want a view.

We had amazing meals at both dinner and breakfast, and the rooms and bathrooms felt very spacious compared with the hotel. A lovely place to stay, highly recommended. Just be sure to book your room well ahead.

We had a clean lodge room with fantastic views, and Fairy Glen was only a five-minute drive away, with lots of other Skye sights well placed for visiting. The establishment is very welcoming, the staff are lovely, and the breakfast is top class. The dining room serves lovely food too, especially the highly recommended fish and chips. It’s pet friendly as well.

We booked at the last minute while in Scotland and were pleasantly surprised. The view from our nice room was great, the beds were comfy, and dogs are welcome. The restaurant food was sublime. I’d come back in a heartbeat.
