Thomas and his team were brilliant hosts, and breakfast was exceptional on both mornings. We had a very comfortable two-night stay at the Caledonian Hotel, right in the heart of Portree. Thanks for making it memorable. I'd highly recommend it to anyone staying on the Isle of Skye.

The staff were welcoming and kind, and the freshly cooked hot breakfast was really good. Our room had everything we needed. Restaurants, shops, and a supermarket are all close by, since the location is right in the centre. We stayed two nights, loved it, and would definitely return and recommend it!

Thomas was the highlight of our time in Portree. He was incredibly welcoming and kind. One evening our group spent some time with him in the lobby before dinner, hearing stories about the area and the history of his hotel. We stayed two nights in October 2025. The rooms were clean, breakfast was perfect, and the location was excellent, but Thomas was the part that made the stay special.

Thomas and his team made us feel so welcome, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic, too. Right in the town centre, the location gave us easy access to everything. This was by far the best place we stayed on our trip through Scotland, and it's where I'd stay when visiting Portree.

The owners gave us helpful advice about nearby trails, and we'll be back. It's a lovely, family-run hotel with a warm welcome. Our room felt inviting as well as pristine. Breakfast was the standout, with both cold options and hot choices like porridge or a full Scottish breakfast. I can't recommend the place enough!
