The manager had balloons and bottles of Prosecco arranged for my birthday, such a thoughtful touch. We felt warmly welcomed and well looked after, with all the staff going above and beyond. We had the carvery, and the food was amazing.

We were lucky to stay at the Atlantic Hotel in October this year, and will definitely be back. Its position in Hugh Town on St Mary's is amazing, overlooking the harbour and bay. The other islands were easy to reach, with the harbour and boats to St Agnes, Tresco, Bryher and St Martins just a minute's walk away. We didn't see another hotel with such a great view. Our rooms were well equipped with coffee machines, huge towels and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was really good every morning, and I'd recommend the vegetarian option. We ate in the restaurant several times too. Even when it was busy, service was quick and friendly, and the food was great. A perfect visit 😊

I've visited three times, and the first two went well, but the last was really disappointing. We'd booked with the waitress for dinner on our final night on St Mary's, but when we arrived they said there was no booking and wouldn't fit us in. We left and had a wonderful meal at another restaurant instead. Double-check reservations, and booking online may be the safest option.

The steak pie sounded lovely on the menu, but what arrived felt more like something from a chippie. At £17, I wouldn't expect that from a restaurant. If the chef had tried one, I reckon he'd be embarrassed to serve it to paying customers.

We had a dream of a view from our super-comfy room, and breakfast was a great start to the day. The scrambled eggs and salmon were cooked just right, and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Earlier, the carvery had delicious meats, loads of veg to choose from, and great drinks with lovely service. Everything at The Atlantic was five-star from beginning to end. We'd book again without hesitation and can't wait to come back! 🤩😀
