We found Allerton house stable compact but big enough for us. The facilities were clean and looked after, and it made a good starting point for exploring the area. One drawback was the advertised private garden: it wasn’t fully enclosed, so our young puppy needed to stay on a lead outside the property.

We enjoyed sitting outside in the garden with a glass or three of wine, and the Scottish breakfast was awesome. Service was warm and attentive throughout. The room had everything we needed, including a fridge, iron and ironing board, and the Nespresso machine was a big plus for me. There’s a huge, comfortable bed and the choice of a bath or a fantastic shower. A really welcoming place, and top of my list for another visit to Jedburgh.

The room and its view were lovely, and the staff were amazing. If you’re hiking St. Cuthbert’s Way, it’s well worth the price.

The room was immaculate and very comfortable, and breakfast was excellent, served by friendly, helpful staff. We got a lovely welcome from the hosts, and there’s safe off-street parking. Town is an easy walk away. We’ll definitely return.

A lovely staff, delicious breakfast and great location. The room was big too. Absolutely gorgeous B&B.
