The Swan Hotel

After a friendly, efficient check-in, we were shown to our room and found our luggage already there. That was a first in the six places we’ve stayed during our Cotswold Way walk. The room was very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant that evening. The kitchen was pretty slow, to be honest, but the food was great when it arrived, and the waiters and waitress were very friendly and helpful.

I’ve been coming here with my partner fairly regularly over the last few years, and it’s always been a positive experience. The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, and the food is always good.

We ate in the bar one night and the restaurant another, and thoroughly enjoyed both meals. There’s also a great selection of beers, and the staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast that came with the stay was good, with cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, pastries, toast, preserves and lovely fresh coffee. The breakfast room was light and airy. Our room was beautiful, with a huge comfy bed, a lovely bathroom and a huge TV. There was plenty of tea and coffee, plus bottled water. It’s a fabulous hotel and pub in a great spot, right by the main shopping street. The Star is another good pub nearby, and The Chipping free car park is just up the lane. I loved the stay and will return.

A big place for a small town, with staff who’ll always try to help with questions or suggestions. It’s family friendly, and the locals make you feel part of the community when you visit. A warm, welcoming experience that ticks every box.
