The cottage is clean and tidy, with a well stocked kitchen, and it’s great value for money. The host was welcoming and friendly, and available if needed. Dogs are allowed for a small extra cost, and there’s one allocated parking space. The nearby walking is fabulous, and being outside the busy Lakes hot spots makes it peaceful and relaxing. The neighbouring properties let the surroundings down a bit. Roads to Courtyard Cottage are narrow and winding, though fairly quiet. There’s a rail line close by, but trains aren’t frequent and the cottage blocks the sound well.

Good value, and the owners were really friendly and helpful. The place is clean and quaint, with an undercover BBQ and firepit. There’s also an indoor communal seating area, nice for an evening with the neighbours and a bottle of wine.
