I've been back to this lovely guest house for the third time on holidays to the Lake District and Scotland. The host is warm and friendly, and breakfast was excellent. The room has all you could want for a comfortable stay, including welcome treats, slippers, dressing gowns and luxury toiletries. I'd definitely visit again.

Sonata Guest House is an easy walk from Kendal town centre, so it worked well for finding food and drinks in the evening. Kendal also makes a handy base for the southern Lake District. Our room was very clean and had everything from tea, coffee and water to biscuits and toiletries. Breakfast was filling and lovely each morning, and arrival and departure were straightforward. A delightful B&B, and I'd happily stay again.

We spent one weekend night in room 4, and Inoka and Chris were wonderful hosts. The room was beautiful and had everything we could want, from soft towels and slippers to dressing gowns and lovely toiletries. The bed was really comfortable, with plump pillows. Breakfast deserves a mention too, a 10/10. We'd absolutely recommend Sonata guest house and will be back!

My colleagues and I were here on business, and Sonata Guest House was a great choice in Kendal Town Centre. It's close to town but quiet enough for a much needed good night's sleep. The owners are friendly and go well out of their way to make things comfortable. Beds were comfortable, service was excellent, and the rooms had a great choice of refreshments, plus a parking permit. Breakfast had plenty of choice and the food was excellent. I couldn't fault this lovely little B&B, well worth a stay.

At Sonata Guest house we had a warm welcome, a very clean, pleasant room with an ensuite, and a quiet night with a good sleep. Breakfast was brilliant, with full English, fruit, yogurts, cereals, tea, coffee and fruit juice to suit different tastes and thirsts. The people were welcoming too. I can't think of a downside and would strongly recommend staying for a night or a week.
