We had a lovely family break for a retirement and birthday occasion, and the place itself was lovely. Sadly, we were charged £200 for repairs to something we hadn’t broken. We used the hot tub as instructed, and the jets seemed fine while we were there, so it was a shame to be charged for their repair.

The hot tub and garden were a real hit, and the house worked brilliantly for our big group of family and friends. We had a great week together. The rooms, beds, and accommodation were all excellent.

About 30 years ago, I stopped at this old house, an inn, after a long trip. A senior woman was helping an Asian traveler who looked exhausted, and she treated me kindly. I’ve carried the memory of her kindness ever since. She may have passed away by now, which breaks my heart. God bless her.

The room was spotless, the view incredible, and breakfast faultless. We spent two nights here to get a relaxing break from our usual routine, and that’s exactly what we got. Paul and Granville were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble. It was easy to find too. Recommended.
