A well-equipped cottage in a peaceful setting, with an enclosed garden for the dogs. It’s easy to reach the main routes to the lakes, Yorkshire Dales, and coast. The hosts were helpful and friendly.

There’s loads of space in this amazing house, and the hosts are lovely. They’ve thought of everything you might need, including the extra towels, which were such a great touch. You have to stay here!

I’m so glad I picked this cottage for my autumn 🍂 break. It’s simple and stylish, and unlike many places I’ve rented, it doesn’t feel furnished with someone’s unwanted things or random charity shop finds. I found it really relaxing. You’re near Kendal but still out in the countryside, and the owners left a small vase of flowers from the garden, a lovely touch.
