There’s a big car park, a grassy space and a children’s playpark, though the road from the motorway is a bit mental. The pub has a great traditional look and an open fire, and dogs are allowed. Outside, there’s a lovely wooden gazebo where you can sit if you smoke. They’ve thought of everything. The menu has plenty of variety, from traditional food to Korean, and the chef is good. Bar staff were helpful and pleasant. I didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t comment on the rooms.

We’d driven past this place plenty of times and wondered why it was always so busy. Now we know. My wife went for her usual fish pie and said it was “just delicious.” I had the braised beef cheeks with horseradish mash, green beans and venison jus. OMG, absolutely divine. The beef just melts, and all credit to the chef. #wifeoutdinnered, and she knew so 😀 Lovely atmosphere and service, we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend.

We were running late for Friday dinner with our toddler and dog, but the pub was so accommodating. The service was brilliant, we were well looked after, and the food was delicious. Just the proper pub food we wanted. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks so much for looking after us!

The food was great and the visit was generally pleasing. Service is usually good, but this time our meals came without condiments, so my fiancé had to go and ask for them.

We booked four rooms before our Scafell Pike walk, and the whole venue was a delight. Matthew and Linda were excellent, and every staff member we met was friendly and exceptional. The rooms were gorgeous, spacious, clean and had everything expected. Hospitality was perfect. Breakfast was tasty, good value and served punctually. We’ll definitely visit again and recommend it to friends. Thanks, Station Inn team. See you soon.
