The steak, blue cheese and walnut salad was the standout for me, and we finished with a very good mocha ice cream cake. We were there for our anniversary and picked the White Horse at Kenninghall because the menu offered a little more variety than the usual pub food elsewhere. The staff were warm and the landlord made us feel welcome. We shared fresh, tasty whitebait with tangy red pepper dip and Mongolian lamb in lettuce wraps too.

The Sunday lunch for 11 was amazing, after a really good Saturday night buffet and disco for a 60th birthday weekend. The menus have plenty of choice for different tastes, and locals say the takeaway menu is good too. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. I hadn't visited before because, the last time I was in the area, the building was empty and badly in need of work. Looking forward to going back.

We couldn't decide because there were so many dishes to choose from. The food was fantastic and the service was lovely. A big plus that dogs and babies are welcome. We'll definitely be back.

Dogs could come into the bar and garden, which was handy. There was a good range of dishes and specials, and the food was lovely and well cooked. The staff were friendly too, always a bonus. We had a very nice evening.

The food tasted good, but £17 for noodles with only 6 king prawns felt steep. Dessert was a letdown: two hard churros alongside a whole pot of lemon posset just didn't work. Drinks were limited, with no real ale on tap. A screaming toddler at the next table disrupted our evening. It seems to want to stand out, but still gives in to the usual demands, so it ends up feeling like an overpriced pub. Disappointed.
