Burnside B&B

This was our second visit to Burnside, and we’ll be back. The room is quiet, the bed is very comfortable, and everything was exceptionally clean. Wi-Fi and the smart TV worked consistently. The hospitality tray had the usual tea and coffee, plus biscuits for a nibble. Sharon welcomed us warmly again. She offers a wide range at breakfast, from a full English to homemade porridge and omelettes. Everything was top quality, especially the gorgeous porridge, and it’s clear there are no shortcuts with the food. It’s a lovely B&B where care has gone into the details to make your stay enjoyable.

Breakfast was a highlight at Burnside B&B. It was fresh, generous, and beautifully cooked, with plenty of care evident in every plate. It set me up perfectly for a day out exploring the Lakes. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared, with little touches that made it feel homely. The location is peaceful, yet only a short walk from Keswick town centre and the lovely surrounding scenery. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm, attentive, and welcoming without being intrusive. We felt at home straight away. My partner and I would happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting Keswick.

The breakfasts were a real treat. There’s cereal and toast, tea and juice, as well as Sharon’s hot breakfasts. The full English was delicious, and her homemade waffles and pancakes were divine. Our room was clean, cosy, and warm, and the bathroom was lovely. The radiator beside the coat rack was just right for drying off after being out in the cold and rain. There was a kettle and little biscuits, hot chocolates, and teas in the room, all very thoughtful. Sharon was friendly and lovely to chat with. We wished we could have stayed longer. It’s a short walk from Keswick, the cycle trail, and the mountains.

Burnside B&B was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location worked well for us, with a beautiful walk into the city centre. Sharon was a lovely host who went out of her way to help, including suggesting places to eat and visit. She was born here, and you can really see how much she loves where she lives. Breakfast was delicious and offered plenty of choice. Try her homemade jams. We thoroughly enjoyed our Lake District stay and highly recommend Sharon and her B&B.
