I had no trouble with my parking space, though some of the cottages have very tight spaces because there isn’t much room. Cottage No.7 was spotless and had everything I needed for my long weekend at the end of September. I’d definitely stay again.

Mill house was spotless and the rooms were great. It’s in a lovely village with a well stocked shop, and the location was great too. Highly recommend.

Braithwaite is a lovely village with two pubs and a village shop, and we did lots of walks from the cottage. We even saw snow on the hilltops from there. Studio Cottage 7 was small, but clean and well laid out, just right for the two of us for a week over Christmas. The kitchen was well equipped, we cooked Christmas dinner without any problems, and the chairs and bed were comfy.

Cottage 6 is a studio, so it’s small, but it suited Mrs P and me perfectly for a couple of nights. It was warm and cosy, very clean, with comfortable armchairs and a very decent double bed.

The Annex was a great base for an outdoor holiday, especially with Whinlatter Forest so close for biking, walking and running. On rainy days, the orienteering among the trees worked well too. Keswick is a 10 minute drive from the cottage, and there are two rock climbing and adventure centres within 15 minutes. Inside, it was clean, cosy and homely, with everything we needed. The TV had Netflix and Prime, an unexpected extra. The bedroom was wonderful, really large, with a high ceiling and exposed wooden beams. My partner and I both thought it was better than any hotel we’ve stayed in. After a long hike, the bath and ample hot water felt like a 5* luxury. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.
