Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa

The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. The lounges and bars were squeaky clean, and they were repainting some areas, so they’re clearly keeping on top of things. We ate at the brasserie both nights. The food was good, though my ravioli on the second night was just okay. Breakfast was very good, with off-menu options. I had poached eggs on toast the second morning. We booked the two-hour thermal journey at the spa. It’s not the biggest, but the price was very reasonable and the staff were excellent there too. The location is lovely, and we’d happily return. We had a lake-view room with a balcony for our two-night stay, but sadly had to move because the TV in the first room didn’t work at all. I’ve rated the rooms 4 out of 5 because the beds were very hard, the shower pressure wasn’t great, and the WiFi was very weak.

We got married here on Wednesday and are over the moon with the staff, the beautiful scenery, and all the effort that went into making our day incredible. It was worth every penny, and we loved having a spa day the next day too. Thank you all, especially Monique. The staff are a credit to this stunning hotel!

We stayed at the Ladore Falls hotel for three nights. Our room was clean, and the housekeeping staff were friendly and well organised. We brought our two Jack Russells, and they were looked after too. The food was very good, and the front of house team were friendly and professional. Coming from a hospitality background, I know the challenges involved, so it was really nice to see. Keep up the good work, well done.

I was travelling solo as a woman, and everyone made me feel welcome and at ease. The staff were kind and helpful, the spa is gorgeous, and the brasserie serves really delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. The setting and views are incredible, yet it’s easy to reach by car, public transport, on foot, or by boat across the lake from Keswick. It was a splurge, but looking back, it felt worth every penny. I’m glad I didn’t let some of the other reviews put me off, as my experience felt very different. Highly recommend.
