Power House in Keswick has lots of character and charm, with all the modern comforts we wanted. It was peaceful, but still a short way from town and the surrounding walks. Andrew was a very welcoming and helpful host throughout, and his local tips made a real difference. We had a fantastic stay and would love to return. Highly recommended.

We came to the lakes with one of my best friends for our birthdays, and had a lovely stay. Our room had its own garden access and a super comfy bed, and the power shower was amazing. There was even a private car park. Breakfast had a great choice and the food was amazing. It's an easy enough walk into Keswick for food and drinks, and there's a local pub about 100 yards away. Thanks for having us.

Andrew is a very friendly host who knows the area well. Our bedroom was a good size and very clean, and the breakfast menu was extensive, tasty, and generous. The sausages were especially lovely. A nice pub is barely three minutes away, a great tea room about five, and Keswick is around a twenty minute walk. We had a lovely stay and will return. Thank you.

Powe House in Portinscale was a delight, with guest parking and a very welcoming host. The room was huge, clean, bright, and airy, with a large comfortable bed and good pillows. The modern bathroom had a good shower and a bath for soaking after a day walking. Breakfast was great, with hot and cold options plus a few things you don't commonly find at guest houses. It's about a 20-minute stroll through open Country to Keswick, so check it out if you're happy to walk. Lovely location and a great breakfast.

The location was great, and the bed was good. It’s a simple, peaceful B&B with a nice breakfast, and the host was lovely and accommodating. We thought it was very good value.
