There are loads of great pubs and restaurants nearby, and Keswick is only about a five-minute walk away. The place itself has six lovely bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, plus a really well-equipped kitchen, dining room and lounge. Bring plenty of friends to fill it. For a Lake District stay, Keswick is hard to beat, and this is a great spot in town.

The owners were attentive and welcoming, and breakfast came beautifully cooked with plenty of options for different tastes. There’s off-road parking, and town and its pubs are an easy stroll away. My room had a four-poster bed, a jacuzzi bath for two, double showers and separate basins. It’s the most delightful B&B I’ve stayed in, and I can’t recommend it enough.

The hosts were lovely and helpful, and they pointed us towards a walk around Latrigg that we really enjoyed. After a day on the fells, the spa bath was just right for relaxing. We were there for one February night as a weekend break, and found the room comfortable and nicely presented. Breakfast had a good range of choices, including a full breakfast. Thank you.

We’ve stayed at Stonegarth at least four times, trying different rooms, and each has been spacious, lovely and spotless. The owners seem to have thought of all the details, and are happy to help with anything. The breakfast is a highlight: beautifully cooked and served, with bacon and sausages from local butchers that were the best we’ve had. My partner and I have tried many Keswick B&Bs, and this is our favourite. Thanks again to Di and Stephen for another lovely stay. We hope to return soon.

We’ve been to Stonegarth several times and find it a very nice guest house. The private parking is a real bonus, and it’s an easy walk into the town centre. Rooms are pleasant, with plenty of hot water, good heating and a hospitality tray that includes extras such as a Nespresso machine. At the moment breakfast is brought to your room because the breakfast room isn’t open. That’s okay, though I don’t find it ideal.
