We stayed here while visiting family. Our room was comfortable and nice, and housekeeping deserves a special mention because everything was exceptionally clean. There’s no air-conditioning, which we really liked since we could open the window. A fan was available if needed. Reception staff were friendly, really nice and efficient. Along with tea, coffee and milk top-ups, you could get fresh water at reception too. There’s plenty of parking, and an excellent Brewers Fayre attached.

There isn't much to eat or do nearby, and the town centre is about a 20-minute walk away, so you're mostly left with the hotel restaurant. The stay itself had what I expect from a Premier Inn, except, oddly, there were no scrambled eggs.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and tidy. But it was miserably cold, with the display at 14 degrees and no way to turn the heat up. I tried following the card instructions, but nothing changed and there was basically no heating during my stay. A warm room is a basic expectation, so I can't recommend this hotel.

Parking was okay, though the car park was poorly lit when we arrived, and the location was dreadful. The staff understood our concerns and even expected us to cancel breakfast. I really don't recommend eating at the pub next door: our dinner came on dirty plates, took ages to arrive, and the place seemed seriously understaffed. I'll leave them a separate review.

The staff were friendly, and the room was clean as expected. It was fairly quiet unless someone above you walks heavily. Breakfast was okay, though it would have been better served hot.
