We had a lovely stay this weekend. The food was amazing and the staff were lovely, though the room was just alright. It was too hot, and opening the windows let in so much noise at night that sleeping was hard. I'd mentioned my fiancé's birthday well in advance, but nothing was done for it, which was a shame. The hotel is lovely and sits on an airfield, a plus for my partner who loves planes. It's also close to Silverstone for car lovers. We'll come back in summer. Thanks!

The hotel has a 1930s art deco style, and our room was cosy, spacious, clean and had a very comfortable bed. It also had everything we needed, including tea and coffee facilities, a hairdryer and a TV. We were in the area for a wedding reception in the cirrus room in the building across from the Aviator Hotel. We paid for bed and breakfast, and the help-yourself buffet was really nice. We'd definitely stay again if we're nearby.

The bar area is lovely, and the venue has so much potential, but the poor management made the whole experience feel cheap. The food was very disappointing, Hungry Horse quality by my comparison. Someone mentioned Wetherspoons, though I haven't eaten there in a long time. Staff didn't know enough about what they were serving, which made things laughable. Port isn't sherry, and there were no cocktails either. It's a three-star hotel at best. I'd love to be whisked back to a golden age of art deco, classic cocktails, smooth jazz, professional hospitality and good food. Such a shame. I definitely won't return or recommend it.

Before our Supercar driving experience at the airfield, we had an early family lunch at the Aviator Restaurant. It's roomy and nicely fitted out, and the food tasted good, though it's pub-style and not all prepared on site. They mentioned that when we talked about my son's nut allergy. The staff were friendly and polite, and quickly took four drinks off my bill after they were added by mistake. I'd come back.

That patch of grass beside the flying club was a lovely place for a drink before dinner, and the club itself wasn't too busy. We had a great stay at the Aviator in August. Everyone was helpful and welcoming, and the room was quiet, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The hotel's Art Deco details are beautiful and have been kept in very good condition. We enjoyed the food, the wine was fairly priced, and the two local beers were so moreish they could be dangerous! It felt like very good value and is well worth a visit.
