The staff are friendly and attentive without hovering, and there’s a good choice of drinks. The menu is full of hearty pub classics with generous portions, and even a simple order can turn out better than expected. It’s right in the heart of the village, with low beams, cosy corners and that welcoming feel as soon as you walk in. A proper village pub with no fuss, just a genuinely lovely place to spend time.

We couldn’t have asked for a better person than Rob to manage our wedding day. He took over halfway through the planning and did a brilliant job. The Woolpack Inn kept in touch throughout and put our doubts at ease, making the whole process easy. On the day, the team worked hard setting up the restaurant and bringing our vision to life. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, and helped the day run smoothly. The food was amazing, with lots of compliments from our guests, so I’m sure some will come back. We’d absolutely recommend having a wedding reception here. Thanks so much from the new Mr and Mrs McCormack!

The food is what really makes this place. It was good quality, the portions were decent and the value was remarkably good. Even the child’s meal tasted great. The interior is cosy, though the outside doesn’t give much away, and the staff were polite and friendly. I was really impressed and would definitely come back.

I’ve enjoyed this pub every time I’ve been. It’s a really beautiful place to eat, with a great atmosphere, a good selection of alcohol and a super friendly, professional team. Highly recommend.
