My daughter was already asking to come back in the summer holidays before we’d even left. She loved meeting the rabbits and stroking one of the big horses, a Suffolk Punch. We were there for a few days over half term in Duchess Cottage, with access to the farm park. It was cold and windy, but at least the rain held off, and we’d brought our wellies, so the mud was no problem. She was thrilled by the animals, especially the lambs, piglets, horses and rabbits, and you can buy little bags of food for the goats and sheep. We even saw lambs that were only a few hours old. There’s also a small Gruffalo-themed walk-through with toy animals and interesting facts. The staff were kind and friendly, and the farm feels like a real working farm, not just entertainment. Definitely recommend it. I’ve attached some photos my daughter took.

There’s a play area we enjoyed, and the animals and staff were friendly. It is a fairly small park, though, and we’ve visited much bigger farms with better setups for less money. We arrived late on a weekend, around 14:00, and there was nobody available to serve us at the entrance for at least ten minutes because of an issue.

The hot food and ice cream were great, and the adults enjoyed seeing the animals and having a play too. We held a birthday party at the farm and had a lovely time. The staff were really friendly, which made it even better. We all had a wonderful day.

We come back every year and the kids absolutely love it. The showers could be warmer. It would also help to have a proper grey water disposal point, like a grid or drain. Lifting the Wastemaster over to empty it at the Elsan point is awkward for me and most likely impossible for older campers. Apart from that, it’s lovely and well worth a visit.

Lovely day out with my daughter. The farm is always amazing, and the cafe is great too. You can now visit the cafe without going into the farm, which is handy. Whether it’s for a family day or just a hot drink or something to eat, I can’t recommend it enough x
