Battery Barn

Janet and Jez were amazing, and both the property and its location are beautiful. But the house was far too cold. The radiators were locked and controlled through an app by the owner. I have medical problems and feel the cold, so we asked if the heating could be raised a few degrees, especially at night, when it was set below 5 degrees. The owner said that was fine, but it would cost 50p an hour. Over our four-night stay that would have added £48. I felt we’d already paid enough, and ended up sleeping in a hoodie. I don’t expect to be treated this way on holiday. For such a small property, it isn’t cheap. If you’re planning to stay, take fan heaters for comfort. I was disappointed and would avoid it because of the lack of heat.
