The garden room and whole house are lovely, even better than the website photos suggest. Lizzie and Laurence made us feel incredibly welcome. We enjoyed looking out at the beautiful garden and all the birds that came to visit. There was a brilliant choice at breakfast, plus homemade treats along the way, including yummy cake and delicious sloe gin. Thanks for having us. We hope to come back in another season. We had a quiet night's sleep, then a fantastic Yorkshire breakfast to set us up for the day. It’s a great cottage in a beautiful spot, with a good walk to Great Whernside and marvellous views over the Dales and eastwards. Thanks to our host. We may well come back.

The breakfasts were spot on, and we were welcomed with cake and a pot of tea in the garden. Finding biscuits on the tea tray in our room was a lovely extra. Thank you, Lawrence and Lizzie, for looking after us.

For my birthday, I booked a visit to somewhere we’d always wanted to see. Lawrence and Lizzie were so lovely, the room was fantastic, and breakfast was an amazing spread. I’d recommend it to everyone and would love to come back. Thank you both.

We were celebrating our anniversary, and Lizzie and Lawrence made us feel really special. From arrival right through to leaving, they couldn’t do enough for us. The hospitality was fantastic, and the breakfast was a real wow. There was as much tea and coffee as we could drink, and she makes all her own cakes, biscuits and gin. We’ll definitely return. Highly recommended!
