Tracey made our breakfast visit a lovely experience. She welcomed us, checked whether we had allergies, and explained the buffet. She also offered to cook any eggs we wanted fresh, just how we liked them. The breakfast had loads of variety and was outstanding. The room was lovely, with details that nodded to Kidderminster's heritage and some exceptional canvas photos. We can't wait to come back. Tracey is a real asset to Premier Inn.

The staff were wonderful, but I was surprised to see a young lad cooking breakfast with long, flowing hair. It didn't seem hygienic. The building's an old carpet weaving mill, so the layout is quirky, with reception on the top floor and rooms below. Only one of the two lifts was working, and it was painfully slow. The hotel tries to make a joke of it, but it's annoying.

The restaurant was much better than I expected. Breakfast was all you can eat and absolutely lovely, and the dinners were great too. Even my kids were impressed. The room was clean and lovely, and the beds were super comfortable. The staff were welcoming and easy to approach, with top-notch service. Very pleasantly surprised, and I'd certainly recommend this Premier Inn.

The staff worked incredibly hard and were polite, even when worn out after the breakfast rush. The cook on my first morning was rushed off her feet, and I felt so sorry for her. My main complaint was the meals, which were expensive for such small portions. There are better value places within walking distance, including Flame and Ice and Shere Punjab. Nearby shops and food spots include Tkmaxx, Boots, Pizza Hut, McDonald's, JD and sports direct. There were unruly kids around, so be aware of your surroundings. The hotel is in a shopping centre, and parking is paid: £1.40 for an hour, £2.40 for two hours, or from £6 overnight, covering 6pm to 10am. Disabled people get two hours free by scanning the barcode on a parking meter, including the one outside Tkmaxx. I had a receipt emailed to me. It's an old mill, with reception and the restaurant on the fourth floor. One of the two lifts worked, and it was slow, taking about a minute to reach reception. The rooms are typical Premier Inn rooms, though the air conditioning was slow and made it easy to get too hot or too cold. The shower temperature kept changing by itself, but once it settled I left it alone. The bar and restaurant are small, which causes problems when the hotel is full.

The rooms were clean, but I wouldn't recommend staying here if you use a wheelchair, have a baby, or can't manage four flights of stairs. There's only one lift working, and it's tiny and painfully slow. Waiting five minutes for it is no exaggeration. Reception and the restaurant are on the fourth floor, so it's in constant use. With so many families, older guests and people carrying suitcases at Christmas, this is unacceptable.
