The person running the place made me feel uneasy. As I was leaving in the evening, he called across the car park asking my name, with no hello or introduction, then showed me a phone and asked, “Which one is you?” I’d already received the door code and gone to my room, so it was all very odd. The walls are thin, and people arriving at 2 a.m. wake everyone up. The rooms are small, and the sheets were very stained. Also, despite being called a B&B, there’s absolutely no breakfast or food. I wouldn’t go back.

I paid £100 and ended up covered in bedbug bites. This property calls itself a B&B, but there’s no breakfast. The place is disgusting and needs a proper deep clean as soon as possible. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

It’s cheap for Oxford and the bus service is good. The receptionist was kind, and the room seemed new, though very minimal, with nowhere to put your things. The bathroom didn’t seem very clean. We had to buy breakfast because all we could find was some fruit juice and fruit in a very, very small kitchen. Fine for one night.

The location is great, and it’s cheap and close to some really nice places in Oxon. But the room has a strange feel, like an old people’s home, complete with a disabled toilet. The walls were completely bare, without even a mirror, and it smelled like a sanitised hospital dorm. Be prepared for a very sterile room.

The owner met my friends and me at the front and was helpful and pleasant. Our room was clean, new and nice, with comfortable beds, towels and a fridge. There were three of us sharing, so we were grateful for the fan. It was easy to get into the main town by bus.
