Killin Hotel

The food was nice, and the waiting staff were particularly friendly and helpful. We liked the clean four-poster room, which had lovely views from two sides. It was very sweet. The hotel has a fairly basic feel, and the communal areas look a little tired and could use a refresh. The location is very pretty, with lots of bluebells and rhododendrons out. There’s a lovely walk to the ancient castle and along the beach at Loch Tay. We enjoyed our stay overall.

This was great value for money, and I’d definitely love to come back. The location is ideal for hiking and peaceful walks, a real escape into nature. Waking up to the scenery and seeing it from the room window felt surreal. I was taken by the surroundings from the moment I arrived. Mountains in the distance, beautiful gardens and a flowing river all come together like a painting. I genuinely enjoyed every moment of my stay at Killin Hotel.

A very pleasant stay back in October, and great value for money. The room was very clean, the service was very good, and I had a few nice meals. Thank you, I’ll return!

The hotel car park is small, but there’s free overnight parking just down the road, across from the hotel at the community facilities. Inside, the reception areas were warm and roomy, and I liked the board games on the bookshelf. My room was clean and spacious, with a large bathroom and a shower over the bath.
