The only thing I missed was a pool or spa. Otherwise, we had a fantastic stay this past weekend. It’s an immaculate, modern place with big rooms and tremendous service. Both the Pavillion Bar and Blues Restaurant were lovely, and the Tempura selection at the restaurant was top notch.

The staff were lovely, and the restaurant was nice, but the bed meant we couldn’t sleep well. It was two beds pushed together with a cheap, thin mattress. I’ve stayed in better Travelodges, and couldn’t wait to leave. We expected luxury, but it was barely basic. We definitely won’t be back.

The room had a huge bed and was a good size. Nice extras included a robe, slippers, different tea bags and coffee pods, and Borders biscuits. There’s a big car park and a fast EV charger around the side of the building. The staff were friendly and helpful, recommending restaurants in town and booking me a taxi. I had a really pleasant one night stay at the Park Hotel and would visit again.

I only stayed for an evening and didn’t have breakfast. The room was spacious, and dinner was good: the gnocchi was really nice and hot, and I enjoyed the sundae too. Would definitely recommend.

It’s clean and comfortable, with friendly staff and a nice breakfast. You need to ask for beans, and it can get busy. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk into the centre. I’d recommend it if you’re visiting the area.
