We stayed last year and had a wonderful time, so I’m surprised Google hadn’t asked me to rate it before. The cottages and their location are superb. Everything was tidy, clean and working, and it was so peaceful on the single-track lane, with maybe only one or two vehicles passing each hour. I loved walking the dog down to see the Loch. Dogs are allowed only in selected cottages. We don’t usually choose somewhere so close to other people, but we’d stayed here once before in the very early days and knew that wouldn’t be a problem. We’d happily come again.

The setting beside Loch Nell, with rolling hills all around, was stunning, and the stars were incredible on a clear night. We spent two nights in the Clan Mackenzie cottage and absolutely loved it. It was cosy, clean and had all the essentials, plus milk, coffee, tea, biscuits and wine in the welcome pack. Mary met us when we arrived and explained everything. She was quick to help whenever we needed something. We’ll definitely be back soon.

We couldn’t have picked a better cottage for the family. It was neat, clean and really well equipped, facing a magnificent lake. John and Mary were kind enough to give our kids a “farm tour,” and John also took the trouble to take us out on his boat for a fishing trip. We’re looking forward to booking this wonderful place again and meeting these lovely people.

The cottages are spotless and have everything you could need, with town just a five-minute drive away. My husband and I are still here as I write this, on a three-night stay, and I wish we’d booked longer. It’s the most beautiful, peaceful vacation spot I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. The owner is very helpful and makes sure you have everything you need. I highly recommend this place.
