The staff were great, but the hotel itself was poor. My room had almost no water pressure, and filling the basin took ages. It was clean, though a bit tired. The food was okay and basic. There wasn’t any draught beer, just expensive bottles, because they’d had no delivery all week.

The large, open reception made it feel like someone would be available at any hour, and the staff were really friendly. I was pleasantly surprised. My room was quite large and very comfortable. Top marks.

We found it very conveniently located, with nearby rooms as requested. My mother-in-law travelled with us and had an accessible room with a spacious, practical wet room. The breakfast starts at 7am, which suited us. It’s a functional budget hotel, very clean and comfortable, with everything you need and none of the unnecessary pampering. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great, and the rooms were nicely decorated. Staff were friendly and helpful. It doesn’t offer high-end luxury, but it’s an excellent place for a few nights’ stopover.

The staff were pleasant, breakfast was good, and it was served early enough for business travellers heading out on a weekend morning. The room was clean and a decent size, which is all you can really ask from a hotel like this. There’s a large car park that appeared to be well covered by cameras. The location is a little out of the way, but that’s not really the hotel’s fault.
