Wayne was such a lovely host, really patient with us. We were visiting for a car show at gaydon, and this place worked perfectly. The room was tidy, clean and very comfortable, with little biscuits and cakes as a nice treat. Best of all, they had early grey teabags! We had a lovely stay and will definitely book again.

Wayne made sure we had all the information before arriving and gave us a really warm welcome. The Paddocks was spacious, very clean and had a well-equipped kitchenette. We slept brilliantly. It was easily the best place we stayed during our two-week trip around the UK, right at the tail end of the holiday. I’d highly recommend it to anyone staying around Kilsby.

The Tack room was a lovely little space, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The personal service and thoughtful little touches made it feel special.

Clover shepherd's hut is a magical little place. I booked it for two work nights, and having The Red Lion just a few metres away made dinner convenient. I’d forgotten my ground coffee and French press, but Wayne managed to source both for me. There was a small fridge, and the shower was roomy, with a rainfall option as well as a handheld head. The towels were plentiful, though too smooth for my taste. Maybe they use fabric conditioner. That’s just personal preference, as my partner can’t stand scratchy towels. Seeing the listed cobbles and nearby thatched houses makes me want to come back for a weekend wander. The shop behind the Red Lion is a community venture with limited opening hours. It’s wonderful that people care enough to keep it staffed. I’ve worked in the area since July, and taxi drivers all say Rugby is clean, peaceful and quiet.
