The owner came across as rude, arrogant and pompous. I’d booked a room months in advance at a cheap rate, but the night before the stay he called and cancelled without giving a reason. He pushed us to cancel it ourselves so it wouldn’t look like he’d done it or look bad to Booking.com. I suspect the room had been booked for £220 and was now going for £2000+, so he cancelled to take a better offer. We were left without a room or hotel while travelling three hours to a concert. I hope you see this and respond with the actual reason for cancelling, instead of “I don’t know.” Absolute shame on you and Booking.com.

The owner gave me a larger room without me asking, which was very kind. It could be cleaner, though in a shared place the owner can’t control what other guests do in the kitchen. Work is still being done on the space, but it’s becoming very comfortable. I’ll stay there again. Mariana

An awful, dirty hellhole. I walked into the room and found two people using drugs there. The owner refused to refund me. I don’t know how he sleeps at night, taking people’s money for accommodation in such poor condition.

Terrible service. It took three days to get a reply to my messages, and even then nothing was resolved. They only responded after I left a bad review on booking.com, then told me I wouldn’t be allowed into my room even though the booking was still active and paid for. Avoid at all costs.

The flat was great, tidy and well kept, and I felt completely comfortable there. The owner was easy to deal with and kept in touch. I travel a lot and have stayed in all sorts of places. 5/5, I’d absolutely stay again if I’m in the area.
